Pakistani Shia cleric asks western powers to abide by Iran’s nuclear deal

A Pakistani religious leader on Saturday demanded the western powers to abide by Iran’s nuclear deal and immediately lift sanctions from the Islamic Republic.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Chief of Tehrik-e-Islami, Allama Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi said that Iran’s nuclear right should be respected.He strongly believed that western countries should show sincerity to implement the interim nuclear deal with Iran.He said that after the nuclear deal there is no justification of illegal sanctions on Iran. “It is a matter of grave concern for us that the sanctions are still effective on the Islamic Republic and many projects in the world are being stopped because of the sanctions,” said the political leader.Chief of Shia Ulema Council expressing his views said that despite sanctions the Iranian nation under the leadership of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is progressing in all fields.He added that though sanctions have not deterred the progress of Iran but they should be lifted. The religious leader went on to say that Iran is a peaceful country that is why the country has signed a nuclear deal with western powers.Chief of Tehrik-e-Islami noted that recent nuclear deal with the western powers is the success of Iran.Allama Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi said that Iran after signing the nuclear deal has followed all clauses of the agreement in letter and spirit. “West should not adopt discriminatory approach towards Iran,” he said.He also asked the US to release the money of Iranian oil freezed in American banks. He added that it is good to see that many countries of the world are interested in buying the Iranian oil.The religious leader was of the view that conspiracies to weaken the Islamic Republic will not succeed. He said that despite negative propaganda against Iran the majority of the world is standing by the Islamic Republic and supporting its policies. /149
